Been dumped? – Get “Love Hurts Kit” by Melanie Chernock
www.melaniechernock.com
Love Hurts was created based on an assignment to make an activity book. I thought it would be more interesting to make a sort of activity kit instead. From there, I came up with the concept of Love Hurts: A first aid kit for a broken heart. Initially, I knew that I did not want to make a kit of sadness and wanted to approach the product with a sense of humor. Love Hurts contains all of the essentials for going through a rough breakup such as dark chocolate, vodka, bubble bath soap, a candle with matches, candy hearts, a mix CD, and if all else fails, tissues. All of the products come neatly packaged in a compact kit. Unfortunately, the kit is not yet available to purchase. If anyone is interested in producing it, please get in touch! . [...]

You’re not special! 1.2 billion faces of Facebook
inspiratu.com
Ever wondered how all these Facebook faces, over a billion of them would look all together in one place. Wonder no more. Pretty much it's like you watching your favorite show on TV and somebody cuts the antenna. All this pixelated static fuzz that comes-up on the screen is what you get when you put your 1.2 billion Facebook buddies faces in a zoomed-out mosaic. So, you thought you're special, with all your carefully selected party photos and religiously updated statuses, locations and affiliations? Think again! You're just one tiny tiny pixel in the sea of other mini-dots in this mega-mosaic of virtual lives. "The Faces of Facebook" is a project by programmer Natalie Rojas. All Facebook profile photos are organized in chronological order (starting from #1 some kid by name Mark), you can hover over the pixels, zoom-in to see more detailed photo and select them by clicking to their profile (if it is set public of course). At the time of this writing site was not accessible (message app [...]

Funny absurdities in “Out of Place” montages by Robert Rickhoff
inspiratu.com
German photographer Robert Rickhoff manipulates photography to create scenes and places so absurd it's not even f..., no - it is actually very funny. Who wouldn't want to jump on the trampoline on the cliff's edge, or go to the bathroom for "number two" and at the same time enjoy swinging sensation. Great example how "what if" scenarios can ignite our lazy imagination and give us a few laughs at the same time. Photography by Robert Rickhoff [...]

Alpine Snow for Canvas – Snow Art by Simon Beck
inspiratu.com
Some artists are using oil and canvas, others like Simon Beck something else entirely. Armed with pair of snow shoes he uses virgin snow in the French Alps to create his Snow Art of patterns, geometrical shapes and figures. What started as an exercise, developed in to art form to be fully appreciated from the higher ground. According to Simon, they are not that complicated to make when you get the system down. Some of the creations take hours to complete, others more elaborate - days, and sometimes as much time to disappear under fresh layer of snow. There is a fleeting nature in Simon's creations - reminiscent of Tibetan Mandalas. Simon Beck has been sharing his Snow Art since 2004, and to get a dose of his latest creations follow him on Facebook. Happy and warm 2014 for you all! Images via Simon Beck [...]
