Zaha Hadid's limited edition boat is sculpture on water. Or a Bat-Boat. It is art on water, sculpture powered against the force of the waves, design at its most dynamic: the hot new motorboat designed by Zaha Hadid for London-based art dealer and writer Kenny Schachter and his Rove Projects [...]
Bugatti has announced that it will offer the Legend, a special-edition run of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse that pays homage to six heroes of the carmaker's long, storied past. Officially the world's fastest car with its top down (try keeping your toupee on at 254 miles per hour), Bugatti will enhance the special Vitesses visually with design cues from the cars that its heroes drove.
The first Legend honors Jean-Pierre Wimille, who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice for Bugatti and was one of the company's longest-serving test drivers. He won in 1937, co-driving a 57G Tank with Robert Benoist, and in 1939, co-driving a 57C Tank with Pierre Veyron. Fittingly, the Veyron Legend dedicated to Wimille is blue, just like the 57G that he drove at Le Mans in 1937. In Bugatti's own words, it "now shines in blue clear-coated carbon fiber and a light Wimille Bleu paintwork." The 57G-based design language continues into the interior, with numerous details, such as materials and colors, tha [...]
A few months ago we wrote about a couple of Stephen Shaheen's humorous yet strange sculptures that adorn lightbulb heads. We get such a kick out of his work, we've decided to feature a few more of the Brooklyn-based sculptor's collection. The one that stands out the most is aptly titled Let's Put Our Heads Together (above). It features three blue men bent over with their heads collectively in the middle. They appear to be trying to help each other with their plugs and perhaps pointing at something on the ground. [...]
The design collaboration between Andrea Colombo (interested in iconic cars) and Linda Assandri (passionate about Swarovski and glam details) led to the development of the Glamour Beetle Armchair. The duo from ZAC Glamour Design launched a unique approach to furniture, combining Baroque elements and Car Art. In the case of the armchair presented in the photos below, the designers used real Volkswagen Beetle MY1968 wings and an upholstered chair with Swarovski crystals and LED lights.
The unconventional furniture piece also comes with solid finishes in in silver leaf or gold leaf (available in real gold 24 kt. / or real silver), produced by a highly qualified Italian craftsmen team. With a flashy, easily noticeable look, the Glamour Beetle fits well in a modern bachelor’s crib or a public space with a unique personality. Where would you place it? [...]
The new house is on a plot of land near Stuttgart, on a hillside with a generous view of the valley. The owners wanted a new home that would bring this view to life even inside of the building. The house is in a residential area with conventional developments, most of which date from the 1960s. [...]

Aston Martin has revealed its lightweight CC100 Speedster Concept at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Generally speaking, today's Aston Martin is known more for its beauty and power than for its minimalism or lightness. But that could change... [...]
