Ever wondered what happens to our beloved superheroes when they grow older? Thanks to photo-realistic oil paintings by Sweden based artist Andreas Englund we can have a rare glimpse at the daily life of superhero in his senior years. Series of paintings called "Aging Superhero" focuses on character study through mundane situations superhero finds himself in. We all can relate to joy of playing with the child, frustration of spilling groceries in the parking lot or exhaustion after beating up dozen or two of bad guys and stacking them neatly in the pile. Not to mention those morning hangovers that's getting worse and worse with age. Age can take a hit on your stamina, but really is the spirit inside that counts. Someone once said "your age - is only as important as the size of your shoes - some have 43 some otherwise. What really matters is the number you feel inside"... Images via Andreas Englund [...]
