Celebrating femininity “au naturel” in Marilyn Minter’s “Plush”

Some suggest crusade against bush was started by porn industry in mid 80's, and quickly picked-up by popular culture. Younger generation never heard about it or seen it the way "god intended", but slowly bush is making a come-back, and being embraced by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Lady Gaga, Madonna and even  Hank Moody (David Duchovny) in Californication was making his case in favor of "some hair down there" for gods sake... New York based artist Marilyn Minter spend months taking pictures of female pubic hair, in different colors, shapes and textures and depicting them in "glitzy", beautiful sensual close-up photos and paintings of natural femininity. For art book "Plush" Marilyn collaborated with publisher Fulton Ryder to release very limited edition of 500 copies and 10 deluxe copies.
