Russian photographer Alexander Khokhlov in collaboration with makeup artist Valeryia Kutsan created series of portraits called “Weird Beauty”. Deviating from traditional photo-shoot make-up, Valeryia painted model faces in widely recognizable symbols and trademarks. Black and white facial branding creates subconscious yet intimate narrative on the cultural realities that are shaping our everyday lives.
